The hot springs are really the Tabacon River, naturally heated by the volcano to about 106 degrees. In the spa the river cascades down a lengthy hill with a number of pools, cascades and water falls the bathers can get into. Our visit to the spa began with a very pleasant buffet lunch in a restaurant over looking a swimming pool with a swim-up bar. After lunch we changed into our swim suits and went to explore the river.
